March 26 | South Africa: Water Conservation
The country of South Africa is large; it is slightly less than twice the size of the state of Texas. Unlike Texas, however, South Africa has few rivers, and the prolonged droughts that occur make it important for water conservation and control measures to be in place. Pollution from crowded areas, agricultural runoff, soil erosion and desertification are common. I can see that one of the nation’s needs is drinking water.
