March 29 | South Africa: Kruger National Park
I spent a busy day at Kruger National Park, north and east of Johannesburg. It is the largest game reserve in South Africa. Evidence of early humans is found in the area, dating as early as 1,500,000 B.C. Today, it protects large numbers of animals and birds and is visited by over 1 million people each year. I would have spent an entire week here if possible. There is still so much I didn’t get to see. I didn’t see as many of the bushman rock paintings or majestic archaeological sites like Masorini and Thulamela as I would have liked!
