April 26 | Washington, D.C. Sight-seeing
Washington, D.C. may not be as old as many of the cities I have visited around the world, but there is so much history and culture in this small area. During the past week, Emily and I have visited the Arlington National Cemetery, the Smithsonian Institution, the National Gallery of Art, the Library of Congress, and the National Archives. We have also taken a monument tour and seen the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, the Washington Monument, the Vietnam and Korean Veterans War Memorials, the World War II memorial, and others. Everywhere I go in Washington, D.C., there is an important history lesson I can take with me. This history has an even greater significance now that I have had an opportunity to travel around the globe.

If you haven’t had a chance to visit Washington, D.C., yet, you may want to visit this website for a virtual tour: http://dcpages.com/Tourism/.
