August 12 | Little Rock: Public Service Student Ambassador
Wow! I just received some really exciting news. Governor and Mrs. Beebe have selected me to travel around the world as a Public Service Student Ambassador for Arkansas. They told me that I would be working with representatives from the Clinton School of Public Service to help people from around the world on a variety of community service projects. The best part about this, other than the traveling, will be that I get to share my experiences in working on these projects with other students in Arkansas upon my return. I will miss my friends while I am gone for the entire school year, but I will get to share so much with them when I get back. What a cool experience! I now have the chance to help others and see so much.

Governor and Mrs. Beebe handed me a gift and told me that it will help me when I am traveling. When I opened the gift, I found a leather journal with my name, Stanley I. Flat, written in gold on the cover. Governor and Mrs. Beebe told me to keep a log of interesting things that happen while traveling around the world. How cool is that! I thanked Governor and Mrs. Beebe for choosing me to represent Arkansas and told them that I would be the best Public School Service Ambassador ever! Governor Beebe and Mrs. Beebe congratulated me and told me to report to the Clinton School of Public Service on August 19, the first day of school.
