September 4 | Hello, Nicaragua
On my way to Nicaragua! I left early today for the capital city of Managua, population 1,106,600, because it is a long way from New York City to Nicaragua. I was not ready for that rain when I got off the airplane! I’m told that this is the rainy season. It’s pretty hot, too. I understand that hurricanes can be a problem here, and I really don’t want to experience those while I’m in Nicaragua.
