Still in Salta, I’m investigating two of the community’s social projects: an adoptive grandparent program and a food bank. An adoptive grandparent program matches children to older adults so they will be supervised, often while working parents are away from the home. Many of the people in Salta need this help because they have to work long hours to support their families. Another important help for the people is access to a food bank, which can assist in providing food for poorer residents.
