November 24 | Kosovo, Serbia: Thanksgiving
Today is Thanksgiving in the United States. I just found out that people in Kosovo do not celebrate Thanksgiving. I thought it would be fun to show Petar’s family what Thanksgiving is like. I helped Petar’s mother prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal with pheasant instead of turkey (turkeys are not found in Serbia). After the big meal, I asked each of Petar’s family members what they were most thankful for. It was a really good way to spend my Thanksgiving. I am really homesick right now! I can’t wait to see my family during Christmas break.
