Kenya is a country in East Africa that borders the Indian Ocean. It was originally explored by Portugal and later became part of the British Empire. Kenya became an independent country in 1964.
Kenya is divided into eight provinces, and President Kibaki is head of government and of the state. Many rare dinosaur fossils have been found under the Kenyan soil.
Homa Bay is a town in Western Kenya which lies on the south shore of Winam Gulf of Lake Victoria. Mount Homa, which means “famous mountain,” is also close by.
